Upon relocating to Guangzhou, the artist confronts the city’s limited landscape for queer connection. After exhausting the algorithmic promise of multiple dating apps, she turns offline, recasting her romantic search as an embodied, site-specific performance. Her self-authored bio is discreetly circulated across a network of venues she frequents, including the Guangzhou Opera House and Xinghai Concert Hall. The project’s gravitational center is Tianhe Park, home to the city’s bustling, heteronormative marriage market. By embedding her queer presence within these public circuits, the artist transforms personal desire into quiet intervention, revealing the infrastructural gaps and muted visibilities that shape lesbian intimacy in contemporary urban life.
